And that was for many reasons, but I am sooo glad I did it!!! The whole museum was new organised, with some new exhibitions and my feelings were just others than at my first time. This time, taking pictures was forbidden, so in fact I enjoyed the art more. I saw some ladies, who were imitating famous impressionist pictures (and they were pretty good at it!). I told myself - when I will be old and retired, I must also paint in some gallery or art museum! So I wrote some names of paintings from Monet, Cézanne, Klimt, Maillol and others that I think I could imitate and then I will start with trying my own works. This bring me to the idea - but I have to improve myself and practise! I was attending painting classes during my stay in Denmark and I think I did some cute works because of permanent improving and practising. Suddenly I began to miss painting and trying these new techniques. I am just addicted to be creative, so tommorow when I will come to my place in Banska Bystrica, I will continue with painting on wood I just started short time ago...And if I will have some permanent job, I just have to attend painting classes in the evenings..Maybe in Berlin, Copenhagen, Bratislava, Viennna, doesn´t matter :)
But back to the Musée d´Orsay!
First of all, to make things clear, I am not a particular fan of classical music, not at all... But when I went through this spectacular exhibition listening to Mahler´s music and at the same time watching the pictures of Gustav Klimt I felt some kind of catharsis. I love Vienna, Austria, I enjoyed looking at the postcard of Villa Mahler am Wörthersee at this exhibition so much! All of a sudden, I wasn´t in Musée d´Orsay in Paris, but in totally other space - I was exploring austrian beautiful nature of Alps, their lakes and broad landscapes... (I was once travelling in Austrian Alps and I can definetely say it was one of my very best beginning of travelling abroad to unknown places with close person). What I wanted to say is that the GUSTAV MAHLER exhibition prepared me also for starting to explore the classical music.
This kind of music means to me some kind of getting closer to german and austrian culture, since I can not speak German so well as I used to. Especially, I also prefer more German composers like Beethoven or Schuman than the others (maybe the Russians, too:) So this Friday was "my Mahler´s day". I was listening to his symphonies and seeing me back in the airplane, where I was few hours ago having a long look at the neverending beauty of Alps mountains.
